Xiaomi truly is working on a foldable phone, company president and co-founder Lin Bin has confirmed in a teaser he posted on Weibo. In the video, you'll see the executive using a tablet-sized gadget -- until he folds its sides and uses it like you would any phone. Its UI even automatically resizes itself to occupy just the middle part of the screen, so you won't have to flip the device to look at the folded parts of the display.

The Samsung Galaxy Fold was the first foldable phone announced, today Huawei shows off the Mate X, a different type of foldable. Are you guys interested in seeing an unboxing & review of the Galaxy Fold & the Huawei Mate X. Let me know.

Huawei has already announced that it will launch a Foldable smartphone at the Mobile World Congress on February 24. So far, we have only seen a glimpse of it in the official teaser, but today, the official poster revealed the design of this foldable device from Huawei. This design shows that this Huawei foldable phone is different from the Samsung Galaxy Fold. The device will be launched as Huawei Mate X, and it has a side-facing fingerprint scanner. There are triple cameras, and that’s it. We cannot spot any other camera in the image. How this phone works is also quite interesting. So, there is a big display, and it can be used as a normal tablet. But, to use it as a phone, the user can fold it from the center, and that’s it. It’s now a compact phone with a weird aspect ratio. One thing that’s worth mentioning is the fact that there is no notch or cutout like the Galaxy Fold and also, the Huawei Mate X has a bezel-less design, so there are minimal bezels all around unlike the Fold.

This looks like the first full hands-on video of the Huawei Mate X by someone other than a member of Huawei's team handling the new foldable phone! Announced at MWC 2019, the Mate X is a foldable phone that's so much more than a concept. Thanks to the fact it clearly works, has decent fit and finish and offers real-world use cases that make me swoon, after ten minutes with the device, I've got confidence in how far Huawei's come with foldable screens. So much so, I now seriously consider it the future of phones, something I couldn't have said before. What do you think? The Mate X floating your boat or leaving you high and dry?.

The LG G8 ThinQ was unveiled at MWC and the gesture system is even more useless than I thought. Don't get me wrong though, I love the technology. The phones use the IR Light and camera combo not only to unlock your phone using your face, but also by using your hand. It uses infrared light to map out the veins in your hand so you can unlock your phone without touching it. It seems like a really good idea Although quite limited in its scope of use. There were some other features like gesture controls that were demo-ed alongside Hand ID, but If I have to touch my phone before I use the gestures because my hands are dirty, what’s the point. I’m sure there are a lot of other applications for the depth sensing camera , but I just think LG focused on the wrong thing. They also demonstrated an addon for the V50 which looks really cool and Adds an extra screen to your device. Much more usable than foldable phones in my opinion.
