This webinar will examine the clinical indications and consequences of maintaining patients on medications for opioid use disorders. Mounting scientific evidence supports ongoing treatment for opioid use disorders but the precise length of time patients should remain on agonist medications is not universally agreed on.
Cases will be presented that describe typical scenarios seen in office-based practices where a decision needs to be made about continuing or stopping agonist medications. Discussions will be focused on techniques to facilitate smooth transition off agonist therapies, as well as highlighting techniques that can be used to assist patients with maintenance.
