We want to install a tankless electric water heater outdoors. There are outdoor tankless GAS water heaters. There are INDOOR tankless electric water heaters. But outdoor tankless electric water heaters don't seem to exist!
This heater is for a permanently parked Airstream with a sink, a dishwasher, and a shower. We're unlikely to run more than one of those at a time because it's a tiny space. Too tiny to want to take up storage space with a water heater. Apparently, a 36kw 240v electric heater should be the right amount of hot water. We're in Northern California, so the weather is pretty mild.
Is there a secret outdoor electric water heater being sold anywhere? If not, can we build an enclosure to protect an indoor electric water heater from the elements? If so, how do we do that? Or can we buy a tiny shed or box for it and place that underneath the Airstream or next to it? Has anyone done this safely
