AMD Ryzen AI 300 and Intel 200V users can now use Microsoft’s Copilot+ features
After almost a year of waiting, Microsoft has finally brought their Copilot+ AI feature set to non-Qualcomm PC users. Initially, Windows 11’s Copilot+ features were only available on compatible Qualcomm Snapdragon devices. Now, Microsoft has enabled Copilot+ on AMD and Intel-powered PCs.
Honestly, Microsoft made a huge error by tying Copilot+ exclusively to Qualcomm devices. While Qualcomm-based Windows PCs are better than they used to be, they represent a minority of the overall PC market. Furthermore, Microsoft alienated the users of AMD or Intel-based AI PCs that should have been compatible. While that has changed now, it doesn’t erase the fact that Copilot+ was useless to these users until now. It will take a while before “Copilot+” moves from being a useless marketing term to being a worthwhile add-on in the eyes of users.

 What does Copilot+ add?
Microsoft has marketed four key features. These are Live Captions, Cocreator in Paint, Image Creator, and Image Restyle. These features are now available on AMD Ryzen AI 300 PCs and Intel Core Ultra 200V systems. Below is howAMDhas described these features.
- Live Captions – See real-time subtitles, anytime, anywhere.
- Cocreator in Paint – Turn your sketches into masterpiece-worthy art.
- Image Creator – Generate stunning visuals from simple text prompts.
- Restyle Image – Give your photos a fresh, new vibe with unique styles.

Copilot+ support is still lacking on AMD and Intel systems
Even with their newest updates, Microsoft’s newest Copilot+ features remain Qualcomm-exclusive. Microsoft’s new Copilot+ “Voice Access” feature is exclusive to Snapdragon X PCs. This new update takes advantage of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X NPU. This feature will come to compatible AMD and Intel PCs later this year. Once again, Microsoft is favouring Qualcomm despite their tiny market share.
