The Galaxy Z Flip 7 is going to sport a 3.6-inch cover display with a 6.8-inch inner display. That does make both screens just a tiny bit larger, coming from 3.4 inches and 6.7 inches on the Galaxy Z Flip 6, respectively. The dimensions have also grown a smidge to 166.6 x 75.2 x 6.9mm, or 9.1mm thick with the camera bump. That larger cover display is going to be nice to have, however, the Motorola Razr+ 2024 (Razr Ultra 50) still has a larger cover display, and it was released almost a year ago.
It seems Samsung has been inspired by ultra-thin foldables like the OPPO Find N5, as the upcoming Galaxy Z handset is set to introduce a significant design change. According to the report, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be "4.5mm (0.17 inches) thick when unfolded and 9.5mm (0.37 inches) when folded." The second number takes the camera bump into account. Without the rear lenses, it's closer to 9mm flat.

The Galaxy Z Fold 6’s outer screen is 68.1mm wide, which is decent but still narrow compared to a regular phone. With the Galaxy Z Fold 7 pushing that to about 73mm, typing and scrolling should be a little more comfortable.
The report suggests that the Z Fold 7 will pack an 8.2-inch inner display (up from 7.6 inches on the Z Fold 6) and a 6.5-inch outer display (up from 6.3 inches). The larger screen will elevate the user experience in different aspects including gaming.
The Galaxy Z Fold 6, which hit shelves in 2024, measures 5.6mm when unfolded and 12.1mm when folded. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to come in at 4.5mm unfolded and 9.5mm folded (including the camera bump).
