A wanted individual, suspected of participating in several burglaries in the Queens area of New York, was filmed by a home security camera as he attempted to use a Wi-Fi jammer to block the signal of a Wi-Fi-enabled security camera. The signal was ultimately restored, permitting the camera to capture the man in the act.
The individual suspected of the crimes would break into residences in the daytime, pilfering valuable items including cash, jewelry, and luxury articles, while ransacking the homes. It was unclear to law enforcement whether they were pursuing one suspect or several individuals potentially involved in the criminal acts.

ABC 7 NY has indicated that the homeowners are frequently absent when the suspect arrives, typically coinciding with their departure. Since July 24, authorities in New York have reported that at least five residences have been burglarized in this identical manner.
Imran Ahmed's home in Queens Village was targeted in one of the break-in incidents.
Surveillance footage from a Wi-Fi-enabled security camera in the home was not effectively blocked during certain moments of a home invasion. The video captured a disturbing scene of a man, wrapped in various cloth items, crawling along the floor. He was seen pushing a backpack and a black box, which is suspected to be a Wi-Fi signal jammers. However, his plan did not succeed, as the camera's signal remained operational during parts of the incident, allowing for the recording of his actions.
As per Ahmed's account, they received a notification at roughly 2:30 that their Wi-Fi had ceased functioning. He remarked that he "didn't regard it as a serious issue" at the time.
The man in the video ascends the staircase, and upon his return, he conveys a message that sounds like, "Tony, Tony, Tony, Tony."
Ahmed pointed out that they were literally two blocks from the police precinct. He mentioned that the occurrence of something like this is indeed very frightening.
One of the homes that is the subject of a police investigation had jewelry valued at $30,000 stolen, as well as an $8,000 Louis Vuitton handbag.
