For all the smartphone advancements over the last few years, one thing has remained stubbornly consistent: battery life.
Battery technology simultaneously enables today's impressive mobile electronics and holds them back from being even more mind-blowing than they already are. The need for high-performance, low-power-consumption components has driven the development of advanced chipset instruction set architectures which have underpinned pretty much the entire smartphone industry since its birth. Still, we continue to see some new phones drain their batteries before the day's up.

What affects your phone battery life?
Smartphone battery life is affected by many factors including your phone usage, age and temperature. Above all, what affects how long your battery can last the most is your battery capacity. When it comes to having the best phone battery life, size matters. Not all smartphones have the same size battery, or the same charging capabilities. If you want the phone with the longest battery life, look for smartphones with the most mAh like the Galaxy S24 Ultra, Galaxy A55 5G, Galaxy A35 5G, and Galaxy Z Fold5. The more mAh a mobile phone has, the longer a phone can last between charges.
Samsung Galaxy S24
the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra which is a great phone all round and it certainly passed the battery life test. It’s part of the latest Galaxy S24 series and the only model to have reached the 5000 mAh battery capacity with the S24+ coming in at 4900 mAh and the S24 at 4000 mAh. The Galaxy S24 Ultra should last around 14 hours which is more than enough to get you through the day without having to worry about it dying when you need it most. Samsung also offers manual controls over display refresh rate meaning that it can be set to up to 60Hz, making it less taxing on the battery. The S23 Ultra had an estimated usage time of 12 hours, coming in less than the S24 Ultra (14 hours), yet Samsung hasn’t improved the battery capacity since the S23 Ultra and remained at 5000 mAh. This means the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 has done a great job in keeping the S24 Ultra powered up and supported throughout the day plus it also has a fast 45W wired charging speed.

Samsung Galaxy A15
Galaxy A15 is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset that can handily keep up with day-to-day tasks and even a spot of gaming. Paired with it is 4GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage, the Galaxy A15 excels in other ways too. The 6.5-inch 90Hz Super AMOLED display is vibrant and makes viewing multimedia content a joy. It even has a built-in headphone jack — a rarity these days. Elsewhere, the 50MP primary camera is competent, but the 5MP ultrawide and 2MP macro cameras are less so.The Samsung Galaxy A15 ships with a large 5,000mAh battery, which, when combined with its frugal processor, easily lasts over a day. Users with lighter workloads can expect up to two days on a charge, which is great because charging speeds tend to be on the slower side. The phone tops off at 25W charging speeds, a step behind many alternatives. Don't expect premium features like wireless charging, either.
