After the departure of Leo Messi from Barcelona, good right midfielders/wingers have become difficult in La Liga. Real Madrid's Marco Asensio may not have been putting in too many stellar performances last season, but his FC 24 stats haven't taken too much of a hit because of that. With all the major attacking statistics breaking the 80-point threshold, he can be a very reliable assist provider and goalscorer at a very low price of 2.000 coins.
Portu is just a tiny step down from Asensio, with an 82 overall rating, and slightly worse shooting and passing stats. He does, however, have a 90-rated pace, which may make him an even better choice than Asensio for all those players looking for someone they can use to make lightning-fast runs down the right wing. At 900 coins, he's a steal, just like the Real Madrid player. With a 1.650 price tag for the two combined, getting both wouldn't be too far-fetched.
The center of the pitch is one of the few areas where players can get away with having a slow player or two, which bodes well considering how few pacey central midfielders there are in Seria A. Piotr Zielinski is one of very few decent options in this regard, with his 81 pace making him one of the fastest center mids in the entire league. Roma's Nicolo Zaniolo is actually a little faster (83 pace) and can also be snapped up for just 700 coins making him an absolute bargain. For those with Napoli players in every other position though (which isn't a bad idea for those looking to build a fast Serie A team with good chemistry), Zambo Anguissa's inform card boasts 82 pace, but will set players back around 25.000 coins.
CDM may not be the preferred position for highly competitive FC 24 Ultimate Team players due to their low pace and defensive tendencies. Astute tacticians can use this to their advantage and surprise opponents by adding strong CDMs to their squad and using them to launch deadly counterattacks against spotty defenses of attacking-minded FC 24 Ultimate Team players. Lazio's Lucas Leiva and AC Milan's Sandro Tonali are both great choices for this strategy, with decent defensive skills and high vision and short pass stats. They both had a great 2021/22 season, and Tonali was an important part of Milan's Scudetto winning squad. FC 24 Ultimate Team fans should expect his value and overall rating to skyrocket in FC 24.
Insigne played a key role in helping the Italian national team win the 2020 Euros, and his international achievements have not gone unnoticed by EA Sports. With 90-rated dribbling and 87 pace, skilled players should be able to use him to single-handedly do away with the opponent's defensive formation. Insigne is also a great team player, and his 85-rated passes will surely help create goalscoring opportunities, as well.
