Diablo 4 currently lacks a solid release date, though it's predicted to release at some point during the first half of 2023. It appears that Diablo 4 fans who are looking forward to finding out when they can play Diablo 4 should be sure to tune in to The Game Awards in December.

Diablo 4's world allows players to leave and begin the story at any time, however this allows for non-linearity, it will "allow an unlinear version of the story", the story will be told with "a beginning as well as a middle and an ending".

An interview on IGN, Diablo 4 director Joe Shely and general manager Rod Fergusson opened up on the exciting new game to offer those who love the franchise, as as give a little insight into how the game's storytelling mechanics differ from the Diablo games that have come before it.
