It is a battle between the Horde and Alliance battle for control of the tassel, which is his personal winter attire. There are seven weekly quests that you can complete and Wintergrasp will grant you around 3700 honor per quest which is equivalent to 26.000 honors for finishing these quests. Some of them have to be completed during the actual fight to win Wintergrasp. Additionally, you will receive 10 Stones of cheaper shards for every quest you complete, which can be used by the Wintergrasp quartermaster to purchase things.
