As each day passes it's more likely that we'll be receiving major Diablo 4 announcement. It's also worth noting that The Game Awards is now just a few days away, it's possible that the announcement will be announced at the event. While there hasn't been any official announcement from Blizzard however, several sources seem to be extremely confident about this.

Based on Insider Gaming, "this is continuing to be the case, with over 100 journalists receiving the opportunity to see the behind-the-scenes show as well as getting the opportunity to interact with the game. It's believed the embargo for the event and the hands-on experience will be lifted on the 7th of December.

"During the event, Rod Fergusson invited all of the audience members to watch The Game Awards as they'll make some announcements."

Blizzard has confirmed that Diablo 4 is still getting Set Items, though you'll probably have to wait until after launch for them to be used in game.

Game Director Joe Shely explains during a recent roundtable conversation that reimagining sets in a way that works with Diablo 4 properly wouldn't be feasible for the launch of Diablo 4 in the first quarter of next year, but they are considering the possibility of incorporating them into the live-streaming service.
