In an online blog post(opens in new tab) published yesterday, the development team provided an update on the game's plentiful bots, saying it was "working on internal strategies and tools to make it more difficult for bots to enter the game".It follows an announcement last week that said Smilegate had "been engaged in crafting effective tools and methods to eliminate Bots that were in the game" and had banned more than a million "bot" accounts from its servers(opens in a new tab) on March 4. "Last Friday, we began with bot bans and that targeted over a million unlegitimate accounts," this update stated (thanks, NME(opens in new tab)). "We know that this will not resolve the issue by itself and there are still bots playing the game which is why we're trying to give assurance that this was one stage in a ongoing battle.
