D2R Ladder fan with their concern

Mrcaruthers declared that they made a payment to establish their own clan. They did this after leveling to the next level in D2R Ladder to reach level 30. Shortly after, they were a Shadow when a friend recommended the switch.

According to the Mrcaruthers, being a Shadow immediately threw them out from their Clan, despite being the leader of the group, and D2R Ladder did not offer any warning or any indication that something so important would change.

Due to this error, Mrcaruthers logged an official complaint in the name of Activision Blizzard, but the Game Masters were unable to help the D2R Ladder fan with their concern. It was the Game Master responding to Mrcaruthers ticket noted that the Clan and Dark Clan systems are separated and that the decision to leave the Clan after becoming an Shadow is an intended D2R Ladder mechanic.

The Clan will remain regardless of the loss of its leader and the Game Master informed Mrcaruthers that GMs aren't able to issue refunds on Clan purchases due to in-game gold used to purchase D2R Ladder microtransactions being non-refundable.

Mrcaruthers has expressed their frustration of having to purchase a fee to begin the Clan just to pay more for a Dark Clan, though many D2R Ladder players won't be able to join the Dark Clan due to the Shadow prerequisites.
